Original US M-1 helmet with rear seam and swivel bales.  Painted in original white winter camouflage.  Helmet retains approx 94% original white paint, with some minor scuffs.  Helmet is free of dents.  Inside of helmet is not painted, and retains all its original green factory paintjob.  Original olive drab chinstraps present and in good serviceable condition.  What appears to be the original liner is also included.  This is a standard liner made by Capac, and so marked inside.  Liner is stenciled on front with “Williamson” and inside the name Jim Williamson is scratched. US Army records search reveals at least 4 Jim Williamsons who served during WWII.   Liner is also stenciled in multiple places with W-2706.  Liner is in very good shape, with one approx 2″ crack on the left side, as well as numerous white scuffs from field use.  Interior of liner has original olive drab webbing still in place.  A very nice ensemble for the WWII or Korean War collector!
