Original WWII Soviet 1943 dated amoeba pattern camouflage smock. These were famously worn by Soviet snipers in WWII, and proved to be highly effective. This example is in very good overall condition, with a bold maker’s mark and 1943 date on the inside. Also present is a soldier’s name and unit number handwritten and then crossed out on the inside. Original netting to cover face is present in hood, and in very good condition, with a couple of minor tears. All buttons are present, albeit a bit rusted, but should clean up nice. Smock has one hole on the left side near the pocket, otherwise free of tears or holes. Smock overall shows use and wear consistent with being worn in the field, but has bright colors and displays very well. One of the rarest Soviet WWII sniper items, and a must for the advanced collector of Soviet memorabilia!
