For sale is a 32 Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless 1st model. By its serial number in the 27xxx range, it is an antique, made between approximately 1888 and 1892, and can be shipped without an FFL. Gun is mechanically excellent, with little evidence of firing. 3.5″ BBL Gun retains approximately 85-90% original nickel, with the majority of loss on the cylinder, including over one chamber that has lost all its nickel. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Grips are excellent with no chips or cracks. Trigger and triggerguard are blued with approx 85% blue remaining, although a bit thin in spots. Gun functions perfectly, with tight lockup, excellent cylinder indexing, and star ejector works fine. All number match. A very nice example of an early Smith 1st Model Safety Hammerless.
