For sale is a Mauser C/96 Broomhandle upper receiver in 9mm Luger caliber. Rifling is 6 groove, and bore is excellent. We do not believe that this was rebored, but if it was, it was done very professionally. Serial number is in the 62xxx range, indicating it was most likely part of the Red 9 contract during WWI. What appears to be a German Imperial Army acceptance stamp is on the upper right of the receiver, but is partially obscured by what looks to be a Crown U stamp. Upper has been refinished in a proper rust blue, most likely by an arsenal, since it was done very well, and does not look like it was done over any pitting or corrosion. Upper retains approx 98% of its finish. The only giveaway is the Mauser markings on top of the receiver are fuzzy. We are selling this receiver AS IS because someone either fired exceedingly hot ammo, or had an out of battery discharge with it. The right rear area where the bolt stop would go is deformed, and the rear area is heavily bowed out. (Please refer to detailed photos.) As such, this is an excellent candidate for repair or to make into a display gun. This receiver is fully stripped, and does not include any other parts.
