MODEL: Nazi Proofed Mauser C/96 “Broomhandle”

Extremely rare Mauser C/96 1930 Commercial pistol with Nazi era Army Eagle/Swastika proof on left chamber flat, indicating issue to German Wehrmacht or SS.  Standard 3 line address on right side of frame, and Mauser banner on left side.  Crown U proofs, and proper 12 groove grips.  Detailed disassembly reveals last 3 digits of serial number repeated on inner portion of frame as well as bottom of magazine floorplate.  Retains approximately 95% original salt blue, with fire blued small parts.  Most of the wear is on the underside of the barrel, from sliding out of a shoulder stock.  Fire blue is near perfect on extractor and rear sight cursor.  Excellent mechanics and bright bore.  A seldom encountered C/96 variant that saw service with the German military in WWII.
