For sale is a Japanese Type 99 rifle in 7.7mm Japanese. The rifle is in overall good condition, with the following specifics: The bolt is bent backwards approx 15 degrees, no doubt from someone smacking it to open it. As a result, the safety does not work. Also, the front sight ears have been clipped off. This is no doubt a battlefield pickup, as the mum is intact, and all markings are clear and visible. Gun functions mechanically, and has a bore with strong rifling. Standard two piece stock, with numerous dents and dings. Sling swivels present. Cleaning rod not present. Rear tangent sight present, no AA arms installed. Some light surface pitting near muzzle. Numbers on bolt are not readable, so we are unable to verify it if its a matching bolt. Either way, this gun would benefit from a good cleaning, and a new bolt. Gun was made at Nagoya Arsenal.
