Original German WWII Soldbuch for a solider who was KIA sometime after July, 1944, as evidenced by the red X through the front information page. Soldier’s photo is stapled to the front inside cover and partially overstamped with official stamps. Condition overall is excellent, with the cover tightly attached, and only expected wear from carrying and use. Book is extensively annotated with everything from dates of leave granted to awards given, to places he was stationed. The last date found in the book was July 22, 1944. Page 2 is dated July 17, 1944, leading us to believe that this book was a reissue to this soldier, and that something must have happened to his first one. A very interesting personal record of a soldier, worthy of further research.
