For sale is a very desirable Colt AR-15 manufactured in 1964, in original unaltered condition. Serial number in the 1800 range, with all proper early features, including the 3 pronged flash hider, no forward bolt assist, chrome bolt, bolt carrier not cut for forward assist, early type safety, and rear sling swivel being a separate component. Original rubber buttplate has no provision for cleaning kit trap, and stock has no storage for one.  Condition is very fine, retaining 97% original finish. Original black plastic handguard and stock are in likewise very fine condition, showing only expected minor scattered rub marks. Includes one original Colt AR-15 marked 20 round magazine, with early Colt floorplate. Mechanically excellent with a bright bore. Fitted with a period black fabric sling. A fantastic example of an extremely early Colt AR-15, in untouched original condition.
