US Military Front Seam Fixed Bale helmet probably by McCord. Condition is overall very good, showing expected use and wear. Helmet has some minor denting on top, but no stress cracks. Paint appears original, and has lots of generalized scuffing. Heat treat lot appears to be 69A, with no other discernible marks. We BELIEVE this to be a McCord manufacture, because we were unable to find an “S” for Schueter, however we’re not 100% either way. Fixed bales are intact and tightly attached. Original early type chinstrap exhibits wear commensurate with the helmet, but is intact and free of breaks. Inside of helmet is in likewise very good condition, showing the same general pattern of scuffs as outside. Overall just a very nice all original condition early WWII manufactured US helmet!
