CALL TO ORDER: 303-841-1933

Visor Cap – Standard Pre-War Visor Cap with raspberry piping signifying infantry. Red star front insignia in very good condition, showing only minor wear.  Inside of cap maker marked and dated 1940.  Cap overall shows use but is in very good condition.  Leather headband liner is still supple.  Chinstrap present, attached by two original black painted metal buttons. No holes in hat, although the top has some very minor staining.  Overall a very good example of a standard officer’s infantry visor cap.

Breeches – Raspberry piped infantry riding style breeches.  All buttons present, and breeches in overall excellent condition.  No holes or tears, and appearing nearly unissued.  Some minor stains on pants which appear to be mostly from storage – would probably disappear with some careful cleaning.  No maker’s marks found inside pants.

Belt – Standard pre-War or early War leather belt.  No discernible maker’s marks.  Brass hammer & sickle buckle.  Belt in very good overall condition, showing some use, but leather is still very supple and presents well.  An extremely nice example of one of these belts.

M1935 Gymnastroika – Tan model 1935 gymnastroika with raspberry piping on collar and sleeves.  Condition overall is very good with only some fading. No rips or stains found.  Black metal buttons are cyrillic marked.  Brass buttons on sleeves are stamped with star hammer and sickle motif.  One button may be a period replacement, since it is not brass, but appears to be zinc or steel.  Sleeve bullion chevrons are original to the uniform, and are for a major.  Raspberry collar tabs have raspberry square and crossed rifle insignias which were awarded for superior tactical maneuvers and performance.  Insignias and squares are held on with older style screw tabs, and backings are Cyrillic marked. Order of the Red Banner attached with screwback through the uniform.

Order of the Red Banner Medal – Original Order of the Red Banner early screw back medal.  Type awarded until mid-War.  Serial numbered in the 50xxx range, and awarded approximately mid 1943.  These came from a block awarded for action at Stalingrad, and it would be worth doing further research on this particular medal.  Condition is very good with some very minor flaking of the enamel near the high point on the red banner.  Medal has been attached to this uniform for many years, and gymnastroika fabric is darker where medal has been, while the rest of the uniform faded from use.

An absolutely original and stunning ensemble of Soviet WW2 officer’s equipment, perfect for the advanced collector of Soviet equipment.
