Original Soviet Model 36 crested helmet.  Shows much evidence of scuffs from long term storage.  Never issued, as the liner prongs have never been bent out to install a liner.  Dated 1939 and stamped “CT” for Stalingradskiy Traktorskiy (Stalingrad Tractor Factory).  Original green paint shows a fair amount of scuffing from storage, but no dents in the helmet.  Original chinstrap is soiled but not broken and is in very good structural condition.  Skeletal red star on front with hammer and sickle inside is in very good shape, with only very minor scuffing over it.  An very rare example of a Pre-WW2 Soviet Model 36 helmet with desireable Red Star.
