Original German M1916 helmet with original liner.  This helmet retains well over 90% of its original camouflage paint scheme, and while the paint has muted a bit with age, it is still very visible and displays wonderfully.  Helmet is free of dents, and only has some minor scuffs on the crown.  Inside of helmet retains much of its original factory paint, with some areas of loss around the chinstrap swivels and under the front brim.  Original leather liner and chinstrap intact and present.  Both are supple, and show no signs of drying out.  The cinch string is attached as well.  The chinstrap studs on the inside of the helmet are wrapped with some wire, one side appearing to have nickel coated wire.
