German M1916 Helmet reissued to the Kriegsmarine in WWII.  Original single gold flecked eagle decal on left side with well over 90% present.  Helmet retains approx 60% original paint, with the rest toning to patina.  One small dent on the top of the helmet, with generalized scuffing as well.  Original liner present, and in very good condition, with only a minor tear in one tongue.  Cinch string present as well.  Chinstrap got wet at some point and has become brittle and broke, but is all present and would be an excellent candidate for repair.  Soldier’s name written inside helmet, but is no longer legible.  An overall very good condition helmet, untouched and as brought back home by a USGI.
