Extremely Rare Mauser C/96 Broomhandle Cherub Gripped Large Ring Hammer – An extremely rare, all matched Mauser C/96 “Broomhandle” pistol in 7.63mm Mauser caliber. Condition is 97% bright original blue, with some very minor high edge wear, as well as just a touch of speckling around the barrel crown. Retains nearly all original straw on trigger, as well as majority of original and vivid fire blue on small parts. Detailed examination shows that all parts match, including the very rare cherub grips. Grips are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Bore is mirror bright. Perfect manual mechanics. A very small run of these guns was made in the late 34,000 range, just as Mauser transitioned from large ring hammers to small ring hammers. This gun falls properly in that serial number range, being in the 34,8xx range. A very seldom seen Mauser variant, and in exceptional original condition!
