CONDITION: Excellent overall, approximately 85% original blue, bright bore with strong rifling. Please see description for full condition details.

For sale is a Colt 1911 made in 1916. This is a commercial gun, with the C prefix to the serial number, and a serial number in the 49xxx range. All parts are correct and original to the gun. The barrel has the correct “P” proof mark on the underside. Bore is bright with strong rifling. The pistol is mechanically excellent with no issues whatsoever. Included magazine is a proper two tone magazine with factory original lanyard loop on bottom. The gun is unnumbered underneath the firing pin stop, as is common on commercial guns. Original wood grips are in very nice shape, with no loss or cracks. The diamonds are generally strong, with only minor scattered flattening. Overall blue on the pistol is approx 85%, with the rest being a blue-brown patina. Back and front straps have toned grey-brown as well. This is a very attractive all original early Colt made before the US entered WWI. C&R eligible!
