Extremely rare example of an American WWI 75mm gas round. Fitted with a 1917 dated Scovill Model 1907M timer fuze. This shell has the characteristic holes in the base for dispersal of poison gas. This is a fired example, but is in very good overall condition, and is complete except for the very tip of the fuze. Obviously landed in very soft earth, because the shell shows no deformation of real damage. Fully inert. A very rare example of a WWI poison gas round!
