MODEL: Winchester Model 1894

For sale is a Winchester Model 1894 rifle in 30-30 caliber. This is a 26″ BBL gun, with octagonal barrel. Condition is overall very fine, retaining approx 80% original blue. The serial number is in the 362xxx range, dating it to 1906. The gun has not been messed with at all, and retains nearly all its original blue along the barrel and magazine tube, with only high point wear and a couple small areas of loss along the barrel. Most of the wear on the gun is concentrated on the receiver, and it appears if the gun was slid in and out of a scabbard a bit, as the wear on the receiver is just rub wear. The loading gate retains a generous amount of fire blue, and the lever and fore end cap retain faded areas of case coloring. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the gun works perfectly. The wood retains most of its original finish, with numerous small dings and handling marks overall. Additionally, the wood to metal fit is excellent, with no signs of refinish. The screws are likewise in excellent shape, with no signs of having been turned. Overall a very fine example of an original Model 1894 rifle made in 1906!
